Winter

Just because it's cold doesn't mean it's not fun!

Winter’s big freeze doesn’t mean that we stay huddled up indoors!

Snow-and-ice activities that we enjoy include sleigh rides, skating, snowshoeing and skiing (both cross-country and downhill): in February, frozen bodies of water in and around Plaster Rock are the venue for the characteristically Canadian annual World Pond Hockey championship.

Average temperature is -8°C on the coast, and cooler inland.
